The Netflix release date for the end of the latter installment has not yet been set.

The first part of Lucifer's Season 5 is available on Netflix, and many of the fans are sure to already be waiting for the next half of the penultimate installment of the series starring Tom Ellis. The only thing the writers of this part, Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich, have advanced is that the audience will witness a musical episode very soon.

Although because of COVID-19, the production of the series could not finish shooting the fifth installment, the writers had already devised this season in two parts, only they did not imagine that between them there would be so much separation time. The outcome of this installment, which in theory, was to have been the end of fiction, has yet to be recorded.

A few months ago I anticipated that there was going to be a noir episode and a musical episode. Viewers have been able to enjoy the first, but not the second; something you can do in the second part, despite the stop of your filming:

"The musical episode is there, which Ildy wrote, which is absolutely unbelievable"

The screenwriter says she's "very excited about it." The chapter, 'Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam' will feature existing songs, they haven't created anything from scratch, but still, promise that it will thrill and impact the audience. Musical episodes are a classic of television fictions and Lucifer could not be less.
