The trend of comedians becoming heroes is not new in the Telugu film industry. Many comedians have tried their luck, but only a few have got success. In the same sequence, Saptagiri is also trying to make his mark as a hero. After getting success with films like 'Saptagiri Express', now he has come up with 'Pelli Kani Prasad'. Let's know how much the audience liked this film?
Story: The story of the film revolves around Prasad (Saptagiri), who owns a hotel in Malaysia and earns well. But even at the age of 36, he is unmarried and is looking for the right partner for marriage. His father keeps postponing the marriage, which makes Prasad frustrated.
Meanwhile, he meets a girl (Priyanka Sharma), who wants to marry a foreigner. Does any relationship develop between the two? Does Prasad get married or does he remain a bachelor? The answers to these questions will be found in the film.
Film Analysis: The biggest weakness of the film is its old story. This is the same worn-out storyline that the audience has seen many times. This story would have been better if it had come a decade ago.
The screenplay and narrative of the film are very weak, which does not connect with the audience. Comedy has been forcibly inserted at some places, which does not seem very effective.
The direction of the film is also mediocre. There is no flow between the scenes, due to which the story seems scattered. Most of the time the film seems boring and fails to bind the audience.
Performance of the actors: Saptagiri played his character with full effort, but due to the weak story and screenplay, his comedy was not effective. He is known as a better comedian, but his performance as a hero did not seem that effective.
Priyanka Sharma acted well, but her role was not very strong. Supporting cast members Sathya Sai Srinivas, Pramodini and Rohini tried to hold the film together to some extent but their performance was not enough to save the film.
Technical aspects: Technically too, the film is nothing special. The music is mediocre and does not add much impact to the film. The background score is also not very attractive. The cinematography is ordinary and the production values seem to be just okay.
Verdict: On the whole, 'Pelli Kani Prasad' is a victim of a weak screenplay and stale plot. There is nothing new in it and it fails to engage the audience. Saptagiri fans might like this film but for the general audience, it may prove to be a disappointing experience. If you are expecting a good comedy film, then this film may disappoint you.
