Another example of deep friendship and mutual respect between two veteran actors of Malayalam cinema Mohanlal and Mammootty has come to light. Veteran actor Mohanlal made a special offering in the name of his fellow actor Mammootty at the Sabarimala temple.
This offering, known as Niranjanam, was offered in the name of Mammootty's birth name Muhammad Kutty, Visakham. Apart from this, Mohanlal also made an offering in the name of his wife Suchitra. According to reports, this offering has been registered under receipt number AH 77614.
Mohanlal had spoken about this meeting with Mammootty before his pilgrimage to Sabarimala. The incident has come to light at a time when preparations are on for the release of Mohanlal's next film L2: Empuraan.
The film, which is directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and is a sequel to Lucifer, is scheduled to release in theatres on March 27. Mohanlal is playing the lead role in this film.
