Courtroom dramas are rare in the world of Telugu cinema. One such example is Court Movie, which stars Priyadarshi in the lead role. The film has already impressed the audience with its trailer and after entering the theatres, let us now analyze how it performed and what its impact was.
Story Analysis: Court Movie is a courtroom drama that explores the judiciary, social injustices and personal struggles. The story of the film is crafted in an easy and clear manner to be understood by the general audience. The main characters and their struggles remain the main theme throughout the film. The twists and climaxes in the story are sure to move the audience.
Direction and Writing: Ram Jagadish has made a significant impact with this film in his debut direction. He deserves praise for choosing the unique subject of courtroom drama. His skill in handling the story and creating court scenes is evident. However, the first half is somewhat slow and full of repetitive scenes, which affects the pacing of the film to some extent.
Actors' Performance: Priyadarshi gives an outstanding performance in the role of a lawyer named Surya Teja in this film. His dialogues and expressions in the court room impress the audience. His performance is the main attraction of the film.
Sivaji gives an outstanding performance in the role of a caste-based and cruel person. His character is very believable and reminiscent of real-life people.
Harsh Roshan once again gets an interesting role and his performance is commendable. His performance in the love scenes and his dialogues with Sridevi Appalla add more charm to the film.
Sridevi Appalla looks beautiful and plays her role charmingly. Other supporting actors like Surabhi Prabhavathi, Saikumar, Rajasekhara Anigi also do justice to their roles.
Technical aspects: Technically, the court movie is good. Dinesh Purushottam's cinematography adds more depth to the film. Vijay Bulganin's background music enhances the emotional scenes and sets the mood of the film right. Karthika Srinivas's editing is good, but could have been more rigorous.
