Recently, much of the "Star Wars 9: The Rise of Skywalker" action was leaked by one of many credible Reddit users. Now there is a new version, according to which two absolute fan favorites will die.

Beware, massive spoilers to "Star Wars 9: The Rise of Skywalker"!

In early September 2019, Reddit released a detailed storyline of the forthcoming "Star Wars 9: The Rise of Skywalker". The source is considered legitimate by the community and sites like That Hashtag Show.

Now the same Reddit user put a prepared version (here the German translation) of his information on the net. This breaks the storyline down to three acts and basically reads like a synopsis. Some information has been added, others have been confirmed in the meantime apparently to the Reddit user by its sources. Among other things, now stands out a tragic fact, which was previously only hinted at: According to the new version, Leia (Carrie Fisher) and C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) will die in "Star Wars 9".

WHAT HAPPENS WITH C-3PO IN "EPISODE 9"

According to Action Leak, the heroic force consisting of Rey (Daisy Ridley), Poe (Oscar Isaac), Finn (John Boyega), C-3PO, and BB-8 (Dave Chapman) meets on a snow planet with an old contact Poes joining them their quest for the Emperor's whereabouts. During the recent hunt for clues, they have already brought into their possession a mysterious Sith dagger whose engravings could lead them to their destination. The dagger was lost again, but C-3PO has memorized the inscriptions.

Only he can not translate them - at least not without changing his programming. Poe's contract offers to hack the droid for this purpose but also warns the heroes that his memory (and thus his memories and his whole personality) will be irretrievably deleted. In one of the film's most emotional scenes, C-3PO agrees to its own memory wipe so that its friends can reach their destination. It translates the message and reboots with a completely empty memory.

HOW LEIA SHOULD LEAVE

Leia stays at the beginning of the film in the jungle base of the resistance, while Rey and Co. dedicated to the search for the Emperor or Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). At an advanced point in the movie, Rey and Kylo fight lightsaber. Meanwhile, they suddenly feel a shock of power - Leia is dying in another part of the galaxy. However, before her death, a well-known hero shares a last piece of wisdom with her.

Leia's passing away has a numbing effect on her student Rey and her son Kylo, who therefore have to interrupt their duel involuntarily for a while. But one of the two duel partners recovers faster than his opponent and thus wins the upper hand.

Of course, despite the trust of others in the authenticity of the source, it's only a hypothesis that we actually have to say goodbye to C-3PO and Leia. After the tragic death of Carrie Fisher in 2016 but at least Leia's death for fans should come as no surprise. It would, of course, be possible that the character appears in another cast again in the upcoming "Star Wars" movies, such as part of a (further) prequel plot for the first trilogy - but that is still in the stars.

In dealing with this information is in any case caution - the action from the leak was previously not officially confirmed, of course, and also, for "Star Wars 9" currently scenes nachgereht. Whether we let ourselves be spoiled or just the imagination of a persuasive acting Reddit user aufgesessen, we will probably only learn in the cinema.

"Star Wars 9: The Rise of Skywalker" will be released on December 20, 2019, in Indian cinemas.
