In "Hobbs & Shaw" there are not only a lot of crazy action and brisk slogans but also unexpected guest appearances of some superstars - and one of them seems to play two roles!
Attention: It follows logically Spoiler in terms of surprise appearances in "Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw".
Although "Hobbs & Shaw" may break away from the bombastic "Fast & Furious" original series, it does not get smaller or more unspectacular than that. This is supported not only the rich production budget of 200 million dollars but also the huge star cast of the film. Besides Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs and Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw, Vanessa Kirby ("Mission: Impossible - Fallout"), Idris Elba ("Luther"), Helen Mirren ("The Queen") and Eiza González ("Alita: Battle Angel ") on board. We already knew everything in advance. The appearance of Ryan Reynolds, however, came as surprisingly as that of Johnson's buddy Kevin Hart. But what probably should have attracted the least attention: The Deadpool actor has apparently even a double role in the movie!

RYAN REYNOLDS IN "HOBBS & SHAW"
Most viewers were probably amazed when Luke Hobbs was once again recruited to save the world - a job for CIA agent Locke, played by Ryan Reynolds of all people. What follows are some of the agent's verbal and proverbial spells throughout the film that is extremely reminiscent of Reynolds' signature role Deadpool. How the hell it brought the Merc with a mouth in the "Fast & Furious" spin-off of David Leitch, is explained quickly: In "Deadpool 2" Reynolds stood once before the director for the director, he also leaves it in "Red Notice" will soon crash side by side with Dwayne Johnson. This suggests that Ryan Reynolds not only plays the CIA agent Locke but also Brixton's mysterious commander and leader of Eton.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR "HOBBS & SHAW 2"?
What exactly is it with Eton, we do not know after the movie - for example, if there are other super soldiers like Brixton. It almost has to be, everything else would not be really logical (but what does logic have to do with "Fast & Furious" ?!). However, we suspect that Locke and the "Director" are actually two different characters, not an agent who plays a double game. If the nasty mastermind in "Hobbs & Shaw 2" has a part in front of the camera, we can hardly imagine that we will see Reynolds in the role.
