Story:
Samara, who works as a regular coolie, accidentally prepares to box one day. But while Samara is proving himself as a boxer, the whole story goes awry. From then on, after hearing Samara's words, Banisai finally got to the point where he could not box after drinking. How did Samara, realizing his mistake in this context, get back into the boxing ring? The full story is about what happened before and after Samara's boxing career.
Plus points:
It should be said that the main cast is a big plus point for Sarpatta Parambarai movie. Arya played the role of a boxer very well. The rest of the cast also gave him good support. Dushara Vijayan, Pasupathi, Sanchana Natarajan, and John Kokken did justice to their roles.
Apart from this the boxing episodes are very well shown. The fight scenes and emotional aspects were also impressive. The film manages to entertain as well as inform, with boxing being the main theme.
Technical Department:
Director Pa. Ranjith has the skill to narrate realistic social dramas nicely. However, he also tried to show his mark through Sarpatta Parambarai. He explained how the Emergency Boxing imposed by the then Government of India had an impact. However, the film would have been even more impressive if it had reduced the runtime and come up with a better screenplay. The background score provided by Santosh Narayan is good and the cinematography is also top-notch.
Verdict:
The boxing-themed movie "Sarpatta Parambarai" was initially very interesting. However, it would have been better if the pre-climax had been shown a little newer, reducing the repetition of emotional scenes between the main cast by the middle. However, those who like sports dramas will love this movie. Even ordinary viewers can watch this movie once.
