Matthias Schweighöfer can be seen tonight in "Hot Dog" on TV, which was released in cinemas in 2018. The actor has long worked on other projects – among others he starred in a Netflix zombie thriller, to which he will also shoot a prequel.

Both also play in international productions again and again – Schweiger played the Nazi killer Hugo Stiglitz in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds" (2009), Schweighöfer played in Bryan Singer's "Operation Walküre" (2008) with Tom Cruise as Stauffenberg.

SCHWEIGHÖFER PLAYS IN ZOMBIE MOVIE
In 2021, Matthias Schweighöfer will be seen in a US streaming production that has what it takes to become a Netflix hit: In "Army Of The Dead," he fights zombies as part of a mercenary group – in Las Vegas, the place to which the government has limited the epidemic and where the force wants to go through the biggest robbery of all time.
Matthias Schweighöfer's character is called Ludwig Dieter – which proves that many US screenwriters still have a very outdated idea of Germany. The film was directed by "Batman V Superman" director Zack Snyder – which means that the director returns to his roots after several superhero movies: The 2004 "Dawn Of The Dead" remake is Snyder's first feature film.
SCHWEIGHÖFER SHOOTS ZOMBIE MOVIE
But after "Army Of The Dead", which has long since been turned off, Matthias Schweighöfer will not be rid of the zombies yet. Zack Snyder is planning an entire undead franchise for Netflix, which includes the anime prequel series "Army Of The Dead: Lost Vegas" – and a prequel film that tells the prehistory of Ludwig Dieter and will stage the Schweighöfer himself.
Matthias Schweighöfer has already tried his time as a director: Together with "Hot Dog" director Torsten Künstler, who also helped Til Schweiger several times, he shot the comedies "What a Man", "Schlussmacher", "Vaterfreuden" and "Der Nanny" in the early to mid-2010s, then he directed the Amazon thriller series "You Are Wanted" with Bernhard Jasper.
