Christopher Nolan's new movie Tenet has already arrived in us and Chinese cinemas after landing on the billboard in different European countries - including Spain - more than a week ago. The film, starring Robert Pattinson and John David Washington, rubs nearly $150 million worldwide and its director has told how he shot his favorite shot of the film.
You may think it's some spectacular Tenet moment when people or objects submit to Investment, a concept that can be pushed back in time as reality continues forward. And yes. It has something to do with it, but it's a shot that lasts only a few seconds. This is the moment when the waves of the sea go backward as they collide with a ship. As Nolan explained, it was not an easy shot to shoot.

"One of my favorite shots from the film, which is something that happens in passing, is the plane that looks down from the bow of the ship and you see the waves running backward," the director begins on CinemaBlend's podcast. "It was shot when we were in the icebreaker and we thought, 'Let's try it and put the camera out somewhere and stick it on one side of the helmet.' Hoyte and Ryan, our machinists, found a small hole in the hull of the ship and built a track to be able to insert the camera and use a stick to place the camera down," he continues.

Finally, Nolan has stated that this action could not have been done at the beginning of his Dark Knight trilogy when he did not yet have enough experience with IMAX cameras. "It was a very difficult shot to get, but those things are that I don't think we would have dared to do with those cameras when we started with The Dark Knight. You simply, over time and experience, end up using them as you would any other format and that frees you," he concludes.
