The film, also with Henry Cavill and Sam Claflin in its cast, arrives on the streaming platform on September 23.

Millie Bobby Brown's new film 'Enola Holmes' arrives on Netflix on September 23. The film, directed by Harry Bradbeer, is an adaptation of the Nancy Springer series of novels that tell the cases of Sherlock Holmes' sister. Some media outlets have already published their review of the film and applaud Brown's performance.

Variety, for example, compares the protagonist's spontaneity to Keira Knightley's in Pride and Prejudice, a film that earned Keira Knightley an Oscar nomination for Best Actress for her role as Elizabeth Bennet. "Brown's acting style is reminiscent of the effusive spontaneity that Keira Knightley brought to Pride and Prejudice, breaking the correctness of Jane Austen's previous adaptations," can be read in the aforementioned medium.

"Millie Bobby Brown is amazing as Enola Holmes. Charismatic and adorable in a role that could have been irritating. It's a shame that the mystery itself isn't that interesting," says Digital Spy about the actress and the film. "Successfully, she imagines a place for her heroine in the world of Sherlock Holmes and convinces younger viewers that Enola doesn't need to be constrained by the borders of that world," THR says.

Empire, on the other hand, also emphasizes Brown's work: "Enola Holmes is a joyful family adventure that confirms millie Bobby Brown's starving. Ultimately, however, it lacks memorability and does not use its cast effectively." Will this film mean the beginning of a new franchise? That's what Solzy at the Movies criticizes: "With Millie Bobby Brown's wit and charm, Enola Holmes is the beginning of a new detective franchise."

Enola Holmes counts in his cast Henry Cavill and Sam Claflin as brothers Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes, respectively. The story follows the little sister of the famous detective created by Arthur Conan Doyle, a young woman closely attached to her mother who embarks on the search for her parent when she disappears without explanation. The protagonist must carry out this investigation by hiding from her brothers, who want her to lead the same life as the rest of the girls her age. Helena Bonham Carter, Fiona Shaw, Adeel Akhtar, and Frances of the Tour complete the cast. On these lines, don't miss the trailer.
