Avatar 2: Filming footage shows new soldiers in action, James Cameron remains immersed in the filming of the sequels in Wellington, New Zealand.
The filming of the sequels to Avatar continues. James Cameron remains relentlessly in the production of the sequels to the 2009 film. A few weeks ago Sigourney Weaver, who gave grace Augustine life in the film, starred in the new images on the set, and now producer Jon Landau has shared on his Instagram account a new look inside the shoot.
Filming of the Avatar sequels began in 2017 and Avatar 2 was scheduled to premiere in theaters on December 17, 2021. However, in view of recent events and the unstable coronavirus situation, Disney has also decided to postpone this installment to December 16, 2022, nearly a year later.

The new photographs from the shooting set show the second unit immersed in recording a battle with the new human soldiers. The first image shows Garrett Warren, director of the second unit, next to Steve Brown's double to give him some directions before the next shot.
For all other sequels, Avatar 3 will be released on December 20, 2024. Avatar 4 on December 18, 2026; and finally, Avatar 5 will do so on December 22, 2028. As for the cast, Sam Worthington will return as Jake Sully and Zoe Saldana as Neytiri. Kate Winslet, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, and Giovanni Ribisi are some of the performers who will also be part of the cast.
