Joss Whedon ('The Avengers') abandoned the DC Comics project on the Bat Girl in early 2018.
This week we told you that actress Zoey Deutch (Zombieland: Kills and finishes) had been willing to get into the skin of Batgirl and now, curiously, a new rumor updates the state of the Warner Bros. movie. According to the web Heroic Hollywood, the studio would have reactivated the search for a director for his DC Comics Bat Girl after Joss Whedon (The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron) abandoned the project early last year.
We know that Christina Hodson (Bumblebee, Birds of Prey) was in charge of the script. If the HH information turns out to be true, this could mean that the script would have been delivered or at least be quite advanced. Warner could also hire a director to replace Whedon, while Zoey Deutch, Kristen Stewart (Charlie's Angels), Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker) and Katherine Langford (for thirteen reasons) are some of the names that have sounded to embody Barbara Gordon or one of the heroin versions.
