Paramount Pictures has streamed the official trailer for Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning - Part 1, with Tom Cruise returning as Agent Ethan Hunt. The trailer is nothing short of breathtaking with sequences that once again show the reckless and spectacular side of its undisputed and absolute protagonist.

In the movie, a central role is played by Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge, the villain of Ethan Hunt's first adventure in the film directed by Brian De Palma at the time. The former chief director of the IMF then revealed himself as a traitor, presumably returning here again as a possible villain as he warns the protagonist Cruise that he will inevitably be forced to take sides.

The images of the trailer, which were released in the hall together with Top Gun Maverick, reveal the settings in Italy, between the streets of Rome, we also find the return of the other characters who populate the adventures of Ethan Hunt since Christopher McQuarrie arrived in the franchise: so we have Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, plus the new entries consisting of Hayley Atwell and Shea Whigham.

We remind you that Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8 - titled Dead Reckoning Part One and Dead Reckoning Part Two, will be the "culmination" of the role of Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt. Christopher McQuarrie took the reins of the franchise with Mission Impossible Rogue Nation and Mission Impossible Fallout; McQuarrie also wrote and directed the seventh and eighth installments, as well as serving as producer alongside Tom Cruise.
