The first trailer for the film The Batman is among us a little earlier than expected, as it has leaked before its panel arrives in the DC FanDome, although it is a matter of minutes.

Today we learned that The Batman will be set in his own universe and that director Matt Reeves has plans to expand this new work beyond a new film.

Of course, the tone of the film in this trailer is very different from what we've seen so far from the character and it's hard to keep in mind that this is the first post joker Batman we see, which certainly seems to have influenced Reeves.

During the film panel, Matt Reeves has given some details. He has told us that we will see the origins of characters such as Penguin and Enigma, highlighting that Paul Dano's performance in the latter's role is going to blow people's heads off.

The director has also mentioned that the film showed a series of murders happening all over Gotham and how Bruce Wayne's family is connected and how the hero is involved in these events.

In this version of the character the people of Gotham will treat Batman as a myth and will be afraid of him, so don't expect the vigilante's presence to be something that is treated normally in history. It's still not a story about the character's origins, but about the first bars of his adventure. We will see the hero make many mistakes and fall as he tries to find his way.

The last thing we've known is that only 25% of the film has been shot so far and there's still a lot of work ahead of us.
