After announcing that it will have a new animated film with the director of Toy Story 4, Transformers has set a date for what will be its next real action film. Paramount Pictures is being commissioned to bring two projects based on this franchise to the big screen.
This is confirmed by the news portal Deadline, placing its release date on June 24, 2022. According to they affirm, there are two projects in development, one of them by the screenwriter James Vanderbilt (The Amazing Spider-Man), and the other to by Joby Harold (The Flash).

The Vanderbilt movie will be a spinoff of Transformers Beast Wars, which is about robots that transform into animals. There we will find some names such as Cheetor (cheetah), Optimus Primal (gorilla), Rhinox (rhino), and many more.
The other project will be based on the Bumblebee universe, although it is unknown which of them will be the first to go into production. This character was the last to star in the franchise, with the premiere of his eponymous film in 2018. The film had the worst grossing in theaters, but critics received it with very positive opinions.

On the other hand, the animated film Transformers should start its production from one moment to another, since the current health crisis is affecting more heavily movies and series with real actors.
