Eddie Redmayne confirms that the script for 'Fantastic Beasts 3', prepared by J.K. Rowling, it's almost ready
The actor has suggested that the third installment of the franchise set in the 'Harry Potter' universe could start filming in early 2020.
Last-minute on Fantastic Beasts and where to find them 3. After months without news of the franchise based on the magical world of Harry Potter, its protagonist Eddie Redmayne has updated the status of the third installment, during his time at the Toronto Film Festival. The actor, who has presented his new work The Aeronauts, has admitted, in statements to Cinemablend, that the project is ongoing and that J.K. Rowling is about to finish the script of the expected third installment.
We intend to start recording early next year. Still working on the script. This is nothing, I literally haven't told you anything! I'm trying to tell you this without saying anything because I'm afraid of being scolded. But no, this is happening and it is really exciting.
Recall that after the "hit" of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald at the global box office, Warner Bros. made the decision to delay the launch date - initially scheduled for late 2020 - until November 2021. A date that may return to move if we take into account that the filming of Fantastic Beasts 3, instead of starting this October, as planned, seems to start in early 2020. The main objective of this delay was focused on the rewriting of the script by Rowling, who seems to find the best story is costing more than expected.
Despite all these changes in the agenda, what the thousands of fans of the saga and the Harry Potter world can be sure of, is that sooner rather than later they will see Newt Scamander (Redmayne) in action and on the big screen again. We imagine that in the coming months the study will reveal more details of this third installment, including the name of the actors who will share the screen with Redmayne.
