It has been rumored for some time now that "Frozen 2" could show that title heroine Elsa is a lesbian. If that really is the case, it is not shown in the form of a relationship.
In "The Frozen" it was only Anna (voice in the original: Kristen Bell), who has a love story (or actually even two) missed, while her sister Elsa (Idina Menzel) flees into exile because of their difficulty to control forces. For the upcoming sequel "Frozen 2" so many fans have now also wished a love interest for the Frozen herself. For many, this was not necessarily about incorporating a romance for its own sake, but rather about showing that Elsa is a lesbian in this way, to send a message.

NOT DEFINED BY A ROMANCE
It was not consciously behind the scenes against a lesbian love, but simply generally against a romance decided - for the simple reason that Elsa as a strong figure as in the first part works independently and should not be determined solely by a love interest: "There are so many films that define a woman about her romantic interest," says Kristen Anderson-Lopez about IGN. "This is not the story we want to tell at the moment. We want to tell how someone who has such powers grows, changes, finds his place in the world and gets answers that were previously hidden. "
In this way, in "Frozen 2", in a certain way, one also remains true to the approach of the first part of breaking up typical Disney love clichés a bit. ELSA ROMANCE IN "Frozen 3"?
Anderson-Lopez's restriction that they want to give Elsa "for the time being" no relationship, but also leaves open the possibility that one day - for example, with a potential "Frozen 3" - could change. Besides, the sexual orientation of Frozen 2 could indeed be hinted at without relationship in her new screen adventure.
