New times require new solutions and the same is being applied at Disney. As we learned on Mickey Mouse Company Investor Day, future releases such as Raya and the Last Dragon will debut the same day in theaters and in Disney + Premier Access, the additional payment model that was adopted with the remake of Mulan.

Raya and the Last Dragon will be released on March 5, 2021. It will be directed by Don Hall, who won an Oscar for Best Animated Film for his work on Big Hero 6 with Chris Williams. He will repeat in the director's chair, but this time with Carlos López Estrada.
The film will be inspired by the cultures and peoples of Southeast Asia, and to add as much fidelity to the film as possible, they worked with the Raya Southeast Asia Story Trust, made up of expert advisors from that region.

Among the voice casting in the original version, Kelly Marie Tran stands out as the main voice of Raya in VO and Awkwafina as Sisu.
